The San Diego Museum of Art's 24th Annual Art Alive was blooming with inspirational floral art May 13th - 15th, 2005. Among the special events for viewing Art Alive was the grande dame fundraiser evening featuring a VIP reception with Carlsbad floral designer Rene van Rems themed "white hot Miami Beach" inspired floral creations in the Thornton Rotunda. Waters Catering provided delectable appetizers including expresso cups of lobster bisque, champagne flowed of course and the VIP's were florally and colorfully attired.

Among the floral elegant were Honorary Art Alive Event Chairs Mary and Arnold Ginnow. They and other VIP's were later joined in celebration by a much larger crowd.

 

The big party featured cuisine by a dozen local restaurants, mojitos, a torch singer and movin' tunes by DJ Gage shook up this Miami heat themed party!
