A Night in 'The Dark Forest' of Tanya and Charles Brandes 'Crafted for the Most Daring Souls' (page 8 of 12) More Links page 1 ....page 2 ......page 3 ....page 4 ......page 5 .......page 6 ......page 7 ......page 8..... page 9......... page 10......page 11 .....Thursday & Friday Preview / Rehearsals "We’ve had the pleasure of attending several of the Brandes’ parties and the experience never ceases to amaze us. This is a labor of love for Tanya. An artistic expression as if she were painting it on a canvas. We were particularly stunned by the vignettes. One perfectly executed story after another. It was Grimm's’–alive " - Bonnie Saldivar-Jones
"This party was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. There are simply not enough words to describe the event; only by experiencing it is one truly able to appreciate it. Every detail was carefully thought through. There was even a headless horseman guarding the front gate! After making it past the headless horseman, and the vigilant security team checking in guests for the night, you begin to crest the hill and approaching the top of the property. Smoke and lights set the mood, along with a body hanging from the tree, twitching randomly, telling us there was something magical awaiting us. There certainly was: The Dark Forest. What stood out most for me was how well everything was put together; everything just flowed together. The theme, the actors, costumes, and decorations all created a mystical and magical experience! The haunted house could never be expected. The quality of the visual experience and the level of production were amazing. But, if anything was to take my breath away, it was the Grand Ballroom. Simply Amazing! The Dark Forest was not dark any more. It was eloquently lit and the mood was set welcoming you to a world you don’t normally get to visit. The furniture, lighting and arrangement detailing every nuance of the night was highlighted in the Grand Ballroom. Simply put the Grand Ballroom was comfortable, beautiful and even magical....." "But there can only be one truly “best costume” and that would have to go to Tanya Brandes as Little Red Riding Hood. There were a few of them but hers was the best. She looked very elegant. I wouldn't’t want Charles Brandes to feel left out, he came in as my runner up as the Werewolf!" - Marina Phillips
