St. Madeleine Sophie's Center 'Haute With Heart' Fashion Show 2010

The 33rd Annual Haute With Heart Fashion Show August 21st, 2010 was fashionable fun at the luncheon which benefited St. Madeleine Sophie's Center (SCMC).

Among those there were Eva and Mike Venison, Louarn Sorkin, Cheryl Mitchell, Honorary Chair Sally Thornton, Joan Bowes, Joan's fancy shoe embellishments were done by her fiance Larry Davis, Carol Karlovich, Mary Walker, Gigi Crammer, Jennifer Greenfield, Karen Fox, Dee Ammon, Claire Reiss, Helen Fox, Daran Grimm, and Barbara Zobell.

There was boutique shopping first, then lunch with announcements by Executive Director Debra Turner-Emerson, a rousing performance by SMSC students to the song "I've Got A Feeling," followed by a money generating auction by Steve Hamann.

A parade of Community Leaders, some paired with SMSC students. Scott Johnston of The Social Diary walked with Helen, Laura and Fred Applegate walked as Honorary Committee Members, there was Evonne Darby representing Barona Casino, CBS 8' Kyle Kraska, Brittany Noelle Simpson, Captain Linda Morse of the San Diego Fire and Rescue Station 34, Chief Mike Scott of Heartland Fire and Rescue, Sutherland the wonderful SMSC Therapy Dog, and Margo Schwab, Scott Johnston and Kima (the Service Dog) of The Social Diary Team.

Yes this is The Social Diary's 2nd year in the show and we wouldn't miss!

And yes that was Sally Thornton shaking things up a bit on the runway too!

Then it was time for the Fashion Show produced by Leonard Simpson and Brittany Noelle Simpson. Featuring a little ready to wear and a little couture, it was a fun show and fun day for all.

Duly noted by Honorary Chair Sally Thornton. "'HAUTE WITH HEART' POSITVELY STUNNING!  ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!  INCREDIBLY TALENTED, LEONARD SIMPSON DAZZLED THE BREATHLESS CROWD OF SPELLBOUND LADIES. ST. MADELEINE SOPHIE'S CENTER REAPED THE "BOUNTIFUL BENEFIT" IN EVERY WAY!  WE ARE GRATEFULLY THANKFUL!  LOVE TO YOU FOR MAKING IT HAPPEN!"

* About Margo Schwab, MBA - Margo Schwab, more formally known as Margaret E. Schwab, has produced, written, interviewed and photographed for various media organizations since 1989. Schwab attended Holton Arms School, La Jolla Country Day School and La Jolla High School. Schwab has a B.A. from Scripps College, spent a business internship with S.A.I.C., Science Applications International Corporation, and earned a Masters of Business degree, MBA., from the University of San Diego by way of Claremont Graduate School . Schwab additionally took college courses from Harvard University, and Syracuse University. Schwab volunteers for numerous charity organizations. She also continues to support animal organizations and the prevention of people and animal abuse. Schwab is the editor of The Social Diary.
