Valerie Cooper's Birthday

Valerie Cooper's birthday was celebrated recently with a number of friends, and of course handsome husband Harry Cooper!

The scene was George's at the Cove's private room. It was decorated to the hilt by fab designer Clinton Walters. He was a guest too!

The table had a plethora of roses in 3 dozen bunches. Red, Autumn orange, amidst votive candles, festive silk tableware, and hand scribed place cards.... all ' à la Clinton.'

The evening started with cocktails, catching up ... and oh that little 'sound machine' that Bertrand Hug brought. Lots of laughs on that one.

The guest list included Bertrand and Denise Hug, David Copley, Sheri and Stuart Jamieson, Judith Harris, aka 'Ruby,' and Robert Singer, Colette and Ivor Royston, Andrew Shelton, Margo Schwab and Scott Johnston, Clinton Walters and Vince Heald, and Jeanne Jones and Don Breitenberg.

Jeanne came despite a broken elbow. She was operated on successfully two days later.

This 'birthday operation' was smooth and bubbly. Complete to the birthday cake. The candles spelled out 'don't ask.' We didn't. Some people are just timeless in their ageless kindness... it's a Cooper thing!
