Nico is an affectionate, loving dog looking for a home. Nico has the unfailing ability to brighten anyone’s day. A sweet little ball of love, he can’t wait to find a family to cherish. Nico has fully recovered and loves spending time with people friends that he knows and trusts. While he can be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly. He gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys interacting with them. Tiger Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (mix)

'Royal' Wedding Tea in Beverly Hills, Nicole Miller Fashion Show at La Valencia Hotel, May Zawaideh's Birthday Tea at the Grand Del Mar, whew....!
First, the Beverly Hills' Three Grande Dames celebrated their birthdays with a 'Royal' Wedding Tea Party......... A magnificent vista of the lush green hills welcomed celebrity guests and other notable members of Beverly Hills society as they came in droves to honor the Three Grande Dames’ 85th birthday celebration. Who are the Three Grande Dames? None other than Deena Brand, Beverly Hills real estate investor and entrepreneur, Jane Winther, the esteemed actress of the golden age of Hollywood and Geneva Trifon, first cousin of Deena, also a long time resident of Beverly Hills. A day in history indeed as Majority policy leader, California State Assembly member, Mike Feurer representing the 42nd District, has announced that a declaration will be sent in honor of Deena Brand’s 85th birthday! All three beauties were hosted with this grand fete at the residence of real estate scion, Ronna Mee Brand of Brand Realty, Inc. All the women wore hats. The tea party luncheon began at 11:30AM as guests lined up to tuxedo valets on top of Mulholland Drive and walked the red carpet. Photographer Amir Kojoory stood in wait as each guest took an opportunity to have their photo taken with Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s life-sized cardboard cut outs; a cheeky gesture and a sign of the fun to come. A silver tea service was on hand for those who desired the Anglophile beverage of choice. Flowers were done by Janelly’s Flowers- designed by chief designer Jose. 4 foot centerpieces of all white flowers resembling crystal chandeliers festooned with real crystal beading were dripping from each arrangement. The tables were covered in champagne silk tablecloths and matching napkins. Each place-setting had “An Etiquette Of Tea” place mat for instructions on the ritual of the afternoon high tea. Tables of ten were arranged on the large umbrella shaded deck. Indoors, guests could lounge in grand style while watching the footage of the Royal Wedding. Champagne and orange sherbet float was also on the menu for those who desired a more festive drink. Tray passed h’ors d’oeuvres including blinis and Osetra caviar and a bartender was on hand for those who wished a 'bubbly' high tea. The luncheon was catered by Margaux Lambert; her staff all dressed in white coats and bow ties. Formal high tea service was expanded to include fresh poached wild salmon with cucumber scales, Shepard’s pie, various salads along with traditional offerings of cakes, cookies, fresh berries with clotted cream, various tea sandwiches served on custom-made pink, blue and white breads, chocolate covered bride and groom dressed strawberries and other scrumptious treats. Guests attending included Betty Graham, President of Previews International N.R.T., Coldwell Banker, visiting La Jolla friends Valerie and Harry Cooper, Spike Jones Jr. and renowned artist Diana Bryer, flying in from Santa Fe were entertained by a short program of singers including Jenna Robinson (Vocalist/ring mistress of the Big Apple Circus- NYC), dancers and a pianist in top hat and tails. Superstar entertainer, Charo, the one and only, treated the crowd to an impromptu song and lead a Conga line throughout the home. The cake dubbed the “Princess” cake was divine and the takeaway bags were signature Harrod’s. How fun is that... Cheers and Happy Birthday ladies! Nicole Miller Fashion Show Luncheon at La Valencia Hotel benefits local schools.... Among the guest models were interior designer Amy Renda, Gina Champion and yes, Social Diary Magazine's Margo Schwab. Timeless designs by Nicole Miller were informally modeled amidst a sold out luncheon in the Mediterranean Room at the La Valencia Hotel. Nicole Miller's Stephanie Lyon provided the eloquent details of the designs shown. Favorites for me included the ruched coral dress and the Sapphire blue sequin gown. All reasonably priced well under $1,000 Enjoy the photos....
How does April celebrate May.... with May Zawaideh's birthday of course!... And Spring just has that extra 'zing' when May Zawaideh's birthday rolls around. This year one of the celebrations was at the Grand Del Mar. It was high tea with champagne, scrumptious tea sandwiches and scones, and a plethora of fun gals. Among the ladies helping May celebrate were Lynda Kerr, she did one of her coveted birthday tiaras for May, Lena Evans, Evva Fenison, Doreen Roohanipur, Maria Assaraf, Elise Molin, Jeanne Larsen, Valerie Cooper, Carmen McCormick, Muffy Walker, and Malgorzata Wieteszka-Slocumb.....
