'Party Like A Rock Star' for New Children's Museum Gala!

On August 21st, 2010 guests were invited to come to the New Children's Museum and 'Party Like A Rock Star'.... and they did.!

'Rockers' arrived via red carpet and were besieged by paparazzi and adoring fans. Then it was on to cocktails, a 'Rolling Stone' Cover shoot, and checking out the rock star outfits.

Among the guests were Dr. Robert Singer and Judith Harris, Kathryn and John Stephens, Lissette and Michael Farrell, Andrew Shelton minus Maggie, EJ and Natasha Reiss, Kymberli Parker, David Copley, Sheryl and Harvey White, Kary and Michael Favish, and Chairs Celeste and Ted Hilling.

There were more fashionable Rockers in the midst. Camille Sobrian came in all leather, Natasha Reiss wore thigh high Chanel boots, Valerie Cooper rocked in hardware enhanced Gucci, Judith Harris was a mod vision in paisley, and David Copley came in detailed Gucci with 'star' quality shoes from France.

The evening continued with a meat free dinner designed byAndrew Spurgin of Waters Fine Catering with dessert by Giuseppe Ciuffa of Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering, and appetizers by Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille.

Musical performances by Third Eye Blind and Get Back Loretta kept the party energy in high gear, and later an after party at the Hard Rock Hotel went on into the night....

All for a great cause as the New Children's Museum Executive Director Rachel Teagle pointed out. "Every day NCM provides free educational opportunities to children from San Diego's neediest schools. The Museum delivers the enriching experiences schools can no longer offer. From the arts education curriculum to the paint and clay we give away for free, NCM encourages school children to think, play, and create in new ways."

* Margo Schwab, more formally known as Margaret E. Schwab, has produced, written, interviewed and photographed for various media organizations since 1989. Schwab attended Holton Arms School, La Jolla Country Day School and La Jolla High School. Schwab has a B.A. from Scripps College, spent a business internship with S.A.I.C., Science Applications International Corporation, and earned a Masters of Business degree, M.B.A., from the University of San Diego by way of Claremont Graduate School . Schwab additionally took college courses from Harvard University, and Syracuse University. Schwab volunteers for numerous charity organizations.
