Fur Ball 2011 'Dancing with the Dogs' More Social Diary Event Coverage ....HOME
On August 20th, 2011 about 200 well behaved dogs were accompanied by their pet owners for the San Diego Humane Society's Annual Fur Ball. This year's theme, Dancing With The Dogs did not disappoint. 550 people helped bring in $250,000 for this year's event. Among the kind animal loving folk were Martha and George Gafford, Julie and Dale Yahnke, Celebrity Guest Megan Blake and her husband Kim Swartz, Karen and Don Cohn with their Standard Poodle Max, Melissa and Michael Bartell, Valerie Summers, and Ingrid Hibbens.
Kim Swartz and Megan Blake with Kima the Celebrity Service Dog The PETCO Foundation was honored, Jim Lennox of Pacific Events produced the event, and Jeffrey Strauss was once again the event's caterer. Jeffrey also donated a dinner party. Haute Chile provided the dance inspiring tunes. Schwab attended Holton Arms School, La Jolla Country Day School and La Jolla High School. Schwab has a B.A. from Scripps College, spent a business internship with S.A.I.C., Science Applications International Corporation, and earned a Masters of Business degree, M.B.A., from the University of San Diego by way of Claremont Graduate School . Schwab additionally took college courses from Harvard University, and Syracuse University. Schwab volunteers for numerous charity organizations. She also continues to support animal organizations and the prevention of people and animal abuse. Schwab is the editor and co-owner of The Social Diary.
